AN EXAM APPLICATION IS REQUIRED OF ALL APPLICANTS, INCLUDING THOSE WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY FILED AN APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION AS A LAW STUDENT.
Applicants who have completed the J.D. degree but have not been admitted to the bar in any jurisdiction are classified as law students and must complete the Nunc Pro Tunc registration if not previously registered with the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners. The Rules make no exception for students who attend out of state law schools. All applicants must have the JD degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
All requirements for graduation must be completed prior to the date of the bar exam. The law school must provide certification that the JD degree has been completed and a final law school transcript showing the grades and degree must be received in the office of the Board of Bar Examiners prior to the exam. It is the applicant's responsibility to request the transcript.
The application must be RECEIVED by 5:00 p.m. on the due date. Postmarks prior to the deadline do not constitute filing before the deadline. Deadline dates and late fees are shown below. Any Special Accommodations request must be filed at least 90 days prior to the date of the exam.
February 1, 2026 - First Deadline to apply for the July 2026 Exam
*Applications received on Monday February 2, 2026, will be considered timely since Feb. 1 is a Sunday
March 1, 2026 - Second Deadline to apply for the July 2026 Exam with a $50 late fee
*Applications received on Monday, March 2, 2026, will be considered timely with the $50 late fee
April 1, 2026, Final deadline to apply for the July 2026 Exam, with the second late fee of $150
